Building Regulations Part P: Electrical Safety

In 2005 these regulations came into force and ensured that any electrical work carried out  in a home, garden, conservatory or outbuilding must meet the Building Regulations.

It is the responsibility of the homeowner/landlord to ensure that Part P has been complied with and that there is no risk to people of of fire, electric shock or injury.

The key provision is that electricians carrying out this work mut be suitably qualified and apporved under Part P.
